In spring, we want to bloom and feel more beautiful than ever. Many of us associate warm weather with gorgeous dresses, made even better by high heels. However, gilets can cause uncomfortable pain that keeps you from walking with a proud click of your heels. Unfortunately, the condition affects many people, but few know the most practical treatments.

Venous varicose veins are a common disease and a very topical problem. Varicose veins are the most common vein disease. It is a symptom of poor blood circulation caused by a lack of elasticity in the blood vessels Serious vein diseases affect one in two people in Baltics, as people often think too little about the health of their legs in everyday life. But just as often, people turn to drastic treatments for vein problems, opting for surgery when they haven’t tried medications before.

Phlebotropic over-the-counter medicines are now available in pharmacies and are very effective for chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs. Micronized diosmin and hespiridine have been shown to be the most effective in clinical trials. In pharmacies, these include Hesio 500mg and Detralex 500mg, the usual dose of which is 1 tablet 2 times a day. Meanwhile, new to pharmacies, Hesio 1000mg tablets contain micronized diosmin and hespiridine and a daily dose of just 1 tablet per day, making it much more convenient to take. Also available in pharmacies is Flabien, which contains only diosmin and is not coated, which makes it more difficult to swallow. Surgical intervention is the last step in the treatment of varicose veins. Before that, many problems can be solved by taking the right medicines. Before you lie on the operating table, make sure you have tried other – cheaper – options!
